You usually get an error when there's an issue with how your data is formatted. Here’s a quick checklist to help you get your file ready:
- The document should be in CSV (comma-separated values) format.
- Make sure there are no blank lines. If you find any, just delete them.
- When you’re uploading, select the column header labels that match those in your data. Include these columns: Date, Description, and Amount.

The 4-column layout includes: Date, Description, Credit, and Debit.
It's important to note that when dealing with CSV files for credit card accounts, transactions might be displayed in reverse. For instance, deposits could show as negative amounts since making a payment on your credit card decreases the balance.

Once all is set , try uploading the transactions again but this time do it from an incognito window. This helps us rule out any web browser issues. Below are the shortcut keys:
- Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
- Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
- Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
- Safari: Command + Shift + N
If the upload is successful this time, switch back to your regular browser and clear its cache. You may consider using a different supported one.
