This is really strange. My Credit Card Payable account in QuickBooks is missing just one transaction that occurred on 01/26/2018. All other transactions downloaded perfectly fine both before and after that date. How do I fix this? The on-line help related to this issue is vague and is saying to contact customer care. Before I do that, I was wondering if there is anything else that can be done within Quickbooks to rectify this. I have looked at the transaction report in detail and can most definitely confirm that Quickbooks is failing to recognize the missing transaction. I have looked for voided and delete transactions, and nothing came up.
The credit card account that QuickBooks is linked to is actually a corporate account with Bank of America and contains cards for 2 employees. The monthly statement shows all transactions for all employees. So my guess is that either Quickbooks is failing to ingest the monthly statement or it is failing to download the individual transaction data from the bank.

I have seen something like this happen in a few instances. Let's say you download early in the day, and later transactions show up. This is why I never download until the following day. I say just add in the missing transaction. I have heard of others having a problem with multiple card holders settling to one acct. I think you are supposed to set them up separately in the Chart of Accounts and download them separately. I have a client with Bank of America and I end up entering them manually because she only has a few transactions. I reconcile it as one card.

Let me provide you with some information about missing credit card transactions.
There are a few possible reasons for missing credit card transactions in QuickBooks. Depending on your financial institution, some banks don't post transactions for download until later in the day or the next morning.
We recommend updating your bank account manually to get the most current view of your data.
Here's how:
The best option to bring back those missing credit card transactions is to manually upload them through a Web Connect. You'll have to export transactions from the bank and upload them into your QuickBooks Online.
Here's an article that will walk you through the whole steps: Import Bank Transactions Using Web Connect.
Feel free to let me know if you have additional question about missing transactions. I’ll be around to answer them for you.

I read your reply but that doesn't help me. I am missing transactions from a credit card for about 4 weeks back in April. Also, on that credit card, there is nothing before September 19th. Not sure how to proceed. I certainly don't want to add all of them manually. :(

This happens to me as well. When I reconcile my account, I download the transactions (from Citibank) into Quicken and most of the time I am missing one. It's so strange. It's happened so often now though that I have come to expect it. And I usually can find what it is (in Citibank) by looking at my account, the missing transaction is usually from the begging of the period.
The only reason that I would know that there is a missing transaction is because I do a manual reconciliation...
Hi, Angela770.
Allow me to help and provide you with some information about downloading transactions in QuickBooks Online.
So far we haven't received similar issues reported with Citibank. Have you tried out the steps above provided by my colleague? If so, there are some factors that you'll need to consider when downloading bank transactions which may cause the issue that you have.
These are the following:
In the meantime, you can use the WebConnect feature in QuickBooks Online to bring in the missing transactions. You can get the detailed steps and instructions in this article: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Help-Articles/How-to-upload-more-than-90-days-of-bank-transa....

There is a problem with downloading transactions from "employee cards" as mentioned earlier in this thread. I have a card I use for all my store transactions and my two managers have a card as well but apparently since their cards have a different account number their transactions do not download even though they are all settled in the same account from Chase. It would not make sense to me to have to set up separate accounts for them - please advise if that is the only solution.
Hello there, @Guerrette.
Since your card and the managers' cards are settled in the same account from Chase, you can handle everything in one main/parent account. This parent account automatically downloads all the transactions from your different cards.
To start, add the new sub-accounts to your Chart of Accounts by following a few steps.
Here's how:
Once done, please refer to the steps below to connect the account.
Please note that when initially connecting your account, the same opening balance transaction may download to all sub-accounts. You must delete all but one of these balances when you reconcile.
After you connect your accounts, you're ready to add and match the downloaded transactions. Also, when it’s time to reconcile, you only need to reconcile the parent account because all transactions in the sub-accounts roll up into it. For additional reference, you can use the following article to review, change, and print or export reconciliation report: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
If you have any other questions, feel free to comment below. I'll be happy to help.
It has been a few months now that we have been missing several credit card transactions so to be able to
Reconcile the account I have entered those transactions manually.
We tried downloading again with the same results. For example in our statement dated 10-16-20 we
were missing 37 transactions.
Please help
Angel
QuickBooks Online automatically downloads bank transactions once you're connected to your bank, abenitez. Let's find out where the issue originates so we know how to fix the issue.
May I know the name of your bank so I can check if there are other users who are experiencing the same thing?
In the meantime, if downloads seem slow or stuck, the issue may be on the bank’s end. Sign in to your bank’s website to check. Then, get the URL that QuickBooks uses to connect. Here's how:
If you can sign in, it's a good thing that there aren't any major issues. Next, check the following:
However, if everything looks good, go back to QuickBooks and manually update your bank.
