Pulling in historical transactions

I began using online quick books in 4/2021 - so my banking account transactions only have history from there. How can I pull in older transactions like from 1/1/2021 forward? I don't see an option to pull from time ranges in the application.

I'll help you pull your old bank transaction in QuickBooks, @barcom102.

I'll make sure you can run a report for your transactions from 1/1/2021 in QuickBooks Online. This way, you can review them anytime in your account.

To pull your historical transactions from 1/1/2021 in QuickBooks, I'd recommend importing them manually into your account first. Follow the steps below:

  1. Sign in to your bank website and follow the instructions to download your transactions as a comma-separated value (CSV) file.
  2. Go to the Banking tab on the left side.
  3. Click the Link account drop-down and choose Upload from a file.
  4. Tap Browse and pick the data.

       5. Review all the fields, then tap Next.

       6. Click Let's go to complete the process.

After that,  categorize and reconcile them whenever you're ready.

Once done, run the quick report of your bank by going to the Chart of Accounts page. See the sample screenshot below for your reference:

Drop a line if you have follow-up questions about your bank feeds. I'm happy to answer all of your questions. Keep safe, barcom102.

Another option, utilize MT Online. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed.
