Cash Deposit Quickbook Checking

Hello I am in need of some assistance.

For the first time I have attempted to add physical cash to my QuickBooks Checking Debit Card. I went by my local Walgreens store although they did have an Allpoint ATM I couldn't deposit cash so I went to the register and the employee was able to do a cash deposit at the register there was a $4.95 fee, I did get a receipt that the deposit was successful however the deposit has yet to show up in my account.

Since this is my first time, I don't know if it's an instant deposit, if it takes 3 to 5 business days. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

Thank you for choosing QuickBooks Online (QBO) for your cash deposit. There's no need to worry, Pirate_tat87. I'll provide you with some information to assist you in correcting your bank transactions.

To successfully add cash to your QuickBooks Checking, ensure that you link an external bank account. Typically, transferring funds into your QuickBooks Checking account takes around 3 business days.

For additional information, refer to this article on QuickBooks Checking, a checking account that incurs no monthly fees and allows for the deposit of all your customer payments: QuickBooks Checking FAQ.

After taking care of your checks, start reconciling your bank. Need help doing it? Check out this guide: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

In no way did you resolve the question asked. I'm assuming QB, as so many other tech companies have done, has chosen to dive head first into using AI, which in this case means artificial ignorance.

To recap, the OP wanted to deposit physical cash into their QB checking account. "Linking an external account" is NOT the answer in this situation.

I, as likely many others are of the assumption that since QB checking is technically a Green Dot service then we expect that this should be able to be done whereas Green Dot permits cash deposits at various retailers and certain ATM's.

A response from a live human concerning this question would be much appreciated.

You can deposit $500 increments at Rite Aid, Walgreens, Walmart. The transaction is immediate. Your receipt will have your new balance.
