Hi Wilton!
We can only enter year-to-date payroll data to QuickBooks Online. Also, you'll want to do this during setup or before creating paychecks in the program.
You can try looking for third-party apps that import payroll data to QuickBooks. Simply click on Apps in the left navigation bar and search for something like transaction importer or data importer.
We're just right here if you have more questions about entering your payroll data. If you need references for payroll, feel free to check them on the QuickBooks Support page.

I have already manually input some payroll info (gross pay, deductions, vacation time, etc) into the online payroll system but am scared of making a mistake. I am going to take your advice and utilize the free trail version of TP. My question is do I have to delete all the info I have input already into online payroll before making the import with TP? Thank you!
Welcome to the Community, @RKX.
Allow me to share an idea about importing data to the QuickBooks Online account.
To avoid duplication of transactions, you can delete the manually imported ones. It is to ensure that all the transactions imported are not yet in the account. That is for the transactions you imported that are the same as the ones you are importing.
Additionally, here is an article you can check to process historical payroll: Set up a prior payroll for QuickBooks Online Payroll.
Keep me posted if there are other payroll questions you have. I'll be right here to keep an eye on your response. Take care!
As an additional option, utilize the trial version of a backup restore app.

Intuit will force you to buy Payroll Elite with white gloves service then someone in the backend will transfer the data for you. Intuit has miserable support. Their support people do not understand their own product. They will bounce you from department to department and do not resolve issues and do not take ownership.
Some of our clients had to purchase a 3rd party service to migrate payroll data from QBD to QBO.
I totally agree. It's intentional to frustrate you into giving up and going away. I also think that not being able to upload is a play to force you into TSheets or whatever they are calling it now.
