employee paycheck is missing hours, DD already sent.

I created payroll but I'm short hours on one employee.

The direct deposit has already been sent.

The next payroll cycle hasn't started yet.

How do I create a 2nd check for this employee that only pays the shortage?

I've found a couple conversations on how to do this but the Step-by-Steps do not match what my screen shows.  For instance, this is one answer (with my challenge step at Step 2):

  1. In the left navigation bar, click Employees.
  2. Click Run payroll.  (THIS BUTTON DOES NOT EXIST ON MY SCREEN...I CAN'T MUDDLE MY WAY TO SCREENS THAT LOOK LIKE THE BELOW ENTRIES FROM THIS AREA EITHER.)
  3. Select the employees to pay again.
  4. At the Enter employee pay details page, select employees to pay, and click Create another check for employee.
  5. Enter the details of the paycheck, and click Preview payroll.
  6. Review and submit.

This seems like it would be a common error and I'm really surprised that fixing it is not overtly clear in QB.

I'm working on QB Desktop PRO 2019

Thank you for any help.

Creating an exception check is almost just like creating your periodic payroll, except use the Unscheduled Payroll button instead, then select the one employee to pay just that employee again.

Hi Intuit Quickbook/workforce team,
This is my 7th times requesting for my lost paycheck view on intuit quickbooks/workforce since last 4 months .
Just to note my below is the case/reference number for this case given by the support team.
Case number for reference : [removed]
Investigation number : 28047

I am not able to view my previous paychecks after the migration happened by quickbook/workforce.
Its almost 4 months after the launching also I am not able to view my paychecks.

And the most important thing to notice is ,Once my November 2019 paycheck will generate my June 2019 paycheck will disappear from it. Once my December pay check will generate my July 2019 paycheck will disappear.  I can view only recent 5 months paycheck, Even after selecting all paychecks or 6 month paycheck it will show me only my recent 5 months pay checks.
I kept on requesting these case since 4 months now.

This cant be overlooked and need to be fixed by your team.
Revert with a possible reply at least.

Hi, nipa.

I want to ensure that your questions are addressed accordingly. However, as much as I would like to get this handled directly, the case number requires pulling up your account information, which I am unable to do in this public forum.

I know you've already called in. For security reasons, you may need to get in touch with our QuickBooks Desktop Support again. Unlike in this public forum, they have the tools required to perform any escalations in the system whenever necessary on your behalf.

I can pass along all the feedback you have to the appropriate channels so you're able to reach a point of resolution as quickly as possible.

You can always check out our Community Help Articles if there are app features that you want to learn more. Additionally, you can visit this article to know more about QuickBooks Desktop Payroll: Get started with Payroll.

I'll be around to help if you have additional questions. Have a good one.
