We have been using QB Online Payroll since last July (when we were forced to move to online) and it seems that just about every payroll period the "Export" button to export the data files to our QB is in another location. First it was with the Paycheck section, then everyone at Intuit was excited that it was with the "Shortcuts" and was so easy. Yesterday I had to search and find it with Paycheck List. I have a suggestion; please put it with the paycheck section; we write it, we can print and we can export from one location. Not to be snarky, but nothing is worse than design engineers who don't use the product trying to make things "better".
Hello there, @officemanager07.
I appreciate you for the time and effort you've exerted into this. I can help you send your product feature suggestion to our Engineers. This way, they'll see your request and consider it for future updates. To begin, here's how:
In addition, I've got you this article about setting up company payroll so you can use direct deposit: Set up your company payroll for direct deposit.
You can also check this page about setting up direct deposits for employees: Set up direct deposit for employees.
It's nice to have you here in the Community today, @officemanager07. If you have any additional QuickBooks-related concerns, know that you can always get back to me anytime. It'll be my pleasure to help you out again. Take care, and have a good one!
Thanks for the quick reply. I have already sent some feedback. I just wanted to know if anyone else is as frustrated with this program as we are. We are a small office of two employees, so direct deposit is not cost effective for us. As I mentioned, fixing something that really wasn't broken is never an improvement. And playing "look for the export button" is not efficient use of our time. I'm still waiting for them to put back the drop-down option that allows you to sort names in A/R Aging Summary report in QBDT Mac. We lost that option with the "upgrade" to QBDT 2022. Now instead of clicking a button, I have to export the document to Numbers and sort and reformat a report. Sorry to sound so cynical. I don't mind change for good, but I've been dealing with Quick Books for a very long time and it never seems to get better, just different and more often than not inconvenient.
