QB 2022 - 2024 Mac Desktop

Hi, I just up-dated to Tahoe 26.3.1, and now my QB's 2022 Locks up whenever I try to launch? I've tried with extensions off and it still locks up.

I just downloaded 2024 and it won't let me register online, and if I remember correctly, the last time I called they couldn't help as all desktop software was no longer supported and I'd have to go via the online option now.:(

My 2022 worked fine before I up-dated, is there a work around?

Hi there, ncee. I understand how crucial compatibility and access are when dealing with your accounts. However, please note that the new Tahoe 26.3.1 update has made changes within the system that the 2022 version cannot handle. Since Intuit no longer supports or updates QB 2022, there is currently no workaround to make it work on this version of macOS.

As for the 2024 version you downloaded, it's also worth knowing that Intuit officially discontinued the sale of new QuickBooks Mac 2024 subscriptions on September 30, 2024. As a result, any new registrations after this date will not be processed by their servers. To maintain access to your data, we recommend transitioning to QuickBooks Online. It offers a stable, native Mac application with a familiar interface. Alternatively, if you really need those high-end desktop features, you may want to consider QuickBooks Enterprise instead.

Feel free to reply to this post if you need further assistance.

Yeah, seems a bit odd, that they would let you download it, but not use it? They should take it down.

Then there are folks like me, who have a computer crash and it can't be repaired, so they get a newer one, and install the software they HAVE, but call QB's for the needed code to use it, but QB's says "Sorry" we can't help you

Just seems like a big slap in the face to its users, but hey, maybe that's just me.

And now I can't go back to an earlier version, and reinstall 2022 because again, Intuit won't help me when I call to get the code so I can use it, very sad:(

@ncee

Install the trial version of QB Desktop 2024. Did you encounter the same problem?
