Some of the sample files in the QuickBooks Desktop 2022 version aren't supported yet. This is the reason why you're unable to open those files.
You can use the Sample product-based business and Sample service-based business files instead. These current sample files you can use in the program. This way, you'll be able to navigate and test the product.
In case you're still unable to open any of these sample files, I'd recommend following the suggested steps in this article: How to fix general problems when your company file won't open.
