Thanks for staying positive after what happened, Brucev.

Let's get the software downloaded in no time.

Here's how:

  1. Open this link: https://downloads.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/products.
  2. Choose your country and product.
  3. Choose 2016 as the version, then click Search.
  4. Click Download

Then, after downloading the software, install it. It will ask for the license and product codes, you can find those information when you log in to CAMPS. Just enter your Intuit credentials to sign in.

We're just here if you need further help. Have a good day!

I have been running QB Pro 2016 but CAMPS shows that I am still running 2011. My old PC the screen went blank after days of trying to upgrade QB to download Capital One Credit cards.  Each time it would shut down  quickbooks and lock up my computer then I had to crash it and reopen.  Finally it did not reopen.  Now, I have to do payroll in the morning and it is taking for ever to update 2011 after installing 2011 rather than 2016.  The numbers shown on CAMPS would not let me install 2016 on this new computer.  I have installed 2011 and I am trying to get back to where I was.  I think I have to update to higher than 2116 at the end of this month.  What should I do???

I've got steps that can help you fix this, JeanneSmith.

You probably have a different login to your CAMPS account which has your QuickBooks 2016. This is the reason why you're only seeing the 2011 version when logging in to your Intuit account. So I'd suggest logging in to CAMPS using another login credentials to ensure that you can see your current QuickBooks version.

You can also call us so we can help you check your Intuit account log in.

Here's how to get our contact number:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Press F1 on your keyboard.
  3. On the Have a Question window, click the Contact us link below.
  4. On the Contact Us page, click the Running Your Business in QuickBooks topic.
  5. Select the Basic, Standard, or Enhanced Payroll sub-topic.
  6. Scroll down and click the Start a Message or Contact Us button.

Please take note though that the 2011 version is no longer supported. This means that we've stopped sending updates for the add-on services like payroll. So when you run payroll, make sure to do it on the 2016 version.

We can run the Verify and Rebuild Tool to help us check any damages on your company file. This way, you won't have issues moving forward when closing or opening QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Click Windows at the top, and select Close All.
  2. To Verify the data file, click File Utilities Verify Data.
  3. To Rebuild the data file, click File Utilities Rebuild Data.
  4. Click OK when you get the message Rebuild has completed.
  5. Run Verify Data again to check for remaining data damage (follow step 2).
  6. If there are additional damages, you'll have to manually fix. Locate the error within the qbwin.log and search for a resolution at the QuickBooks Desktop Support site (or enter the error in the Reply section below so I can give you the troubleshooting steps).
  7. If your error cannot be found, you can try restoring a recent backup. Choose File Restore. Make sure that you do not overwrite your existing company file. Any information entered in the company file since the backup was created must be manually reentered after you restore.

Then, open QuickBooks again to see if it works fine. If you're still having issues opening the file, please proceed with repairing the software's installation.

Please keep me posted with the results. Just leave a reply if you need more help. Thanks.

I would love to call you, but because all I could download was 2011, I don’t believe the f button system of hiding your number is a feature I have available. I’ll log in again and see.

I am realizing that I have to spend $199 by March 31 anyway to upgrade to 2019, imagine my anger at realizing yesterday day you auto withdrew $695 to renew my license for enhanced payroll that I could have got a new license for $100 with the QB Pro 2019 that I have to buy this morning.

imagine that for a minute if you will.

I can not get my QuickBooks 2016 to open on my new Mac OS Monterey. I have installed it over again a few time but the program.

Any assistance is appreciated

I appreciate reinstalling the program to isolate why you can't open your QuickBooks 2016, James.

Your QuickBooks version is the reason why you can't open it on your macOS Monterey. Let me discuss more about it and guide you in successfully opening your QuickBooks.

The macOS Monterey works best on QuickBooks Mac versions 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. Since yours is a discontinued one, you may upgrade it to the latest version to enjoy the full service of QuickBooks Desktop Mac.

Additionally, the QuickBooks program has a 3-year life cycle, and upgrading your company file from 2016 to 2022 is a big leap. That means you have to convert your data in stages from 2016 to 2018 or 2019 to 2022. If you want to upgrade your file to the latest one, I'd suggest contacting our phone support so they can guide you on how to convert the data.
