Which QB Desktop version (year) do you have?

Hi there, @rcasto.

When converting Sage to QuickBooks Desktop, there are conversion requirements that you need to comply with to switch your data successfully. This includes the following:

  • Operating System: Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8
  • Processor: 500 MHz Intel Pentium II (minimum)
  • Memory (RAM): 512 MB (minimum)
  • Hard Drive: 2.5 GB of free space (recommended)
  • Microsoft .NET Framework: Version 2.0 (minimum)
  • QuickBooks Desktop: Pro, Premier, or Enterprise 2016 or higher
  • Sage 50: Version 2013 and above

To give you the complete details on what are the things that you'll need to check before the conversion, please see this link:

Convert from Sage 50 to QuickBooks Desktop.

Once verified, you can try to convert the file again. You can follow the guidelines found in this article for more details: Use Sage or Peachtree conversion tool to convert to QuickBooks Desktop.

I went thru all the steps, even installed Peachtree on a computer I did not want it on, just so it could all be on the same machine.  This should be able to be done from a backup of the Peachtree database.  And this was also because Quickbooks would not let me install on my Windows 7 machine that was running Peachtree.
