how do i get a validation code since no one answers the phone at quickbooks?????? i need to transfer quickbooks 2016 to a new computer and it says to call for validation code but no one answers the phone.

I'll lay down a few steps to help you get the validation code.

We normally send out the registration details through email. You'll want to check your inbox for the validation code. Alternatively, check out your CAMPS profile:

Go to https://camps.intuit.com/.
Choose your version under the Products & Services section.
Click Details, then look for the validation code.

As what my colleagues have pointed out, you can also get the validation code through our phone agents. They'll securely pull up your product registration details and generate a code for you.

Here's how to reach out to them:

Open QuickBooks.
From the Help menu, select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
Click the Contact us link.
On the new page, select a topic (such as activate or install QuickBooks).
Scroll down and click the Have us call you button.

After activating QuickBooks successfully, you can start setting up your company file. If you need help, we have a number of help articles to guide you through the processes.

I am having the same issue. The software tells me to call and the system tells me that I will not get to a person with my question. The chat function seems to be blank. How do i get a validation code? THIS IS REALLY FRUSTRATING!!

QBD 2006 is too old and I'm not sure they'd bother to generate any validation code for versions older than 2010 at this time. Consider to upgrade your version and purchase the one time license of it.

Here's how:

From the Help menu, select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
Click the Contact us link.
On the new page, enter "Validation code."
Click the Call-back button.
