I've fixed this issue for myself.
The problem was my bank account was set up with a "2-step verification". This would send an alert to my phone to allow a sign in. Problem with Quickbooks is it gives an error before you have a chance to allow the sign in.
I temporarily shut off my 2-step verification to update my account.
