File repair

A client recently factory reset the acting server pc with the quickbook files. I was able to recover the files with EASEUS. Some worked others won't open. None of the quickbooks tools work. Is there anyway to repair these files? Does anyone provide this repair service?

Thanks for posting the Community space, @CliffPR.

You can run the File Doctor to fix company file issues in QuickBooks Desktop. This resolves unusual behavior while working on the company file.

  1. Close your QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Download the QuickBooks Tool Hub file. Save it somewhere on your computer.
  3. Open the QuickBooksToolHub.exe file you downloaded.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.
  6. Select Run QuickBooks File Doctor
  7. In QuickBooks File Doctor, choose your company file from the drop-down menu. If you don’t see your file, hit Browse and search to find your file.
  8. Press Check your file and then Continue.
  9. Enter your QuickBooks admin password and click Next.

I'm including here a link that provides a video tutorial of this process: Utilize the QuickBooks File Doctor.

@CliffPR

If QB Tool Hub is unable to fix it, contact Support and ask for Intuit Data Service to fix it. Otherwise you may contact us to purchase a 3rd party file repair service.

May be easiest to get a 3rd party service involved to perform a repair service on the file.
