Hello,
The ideal solution if you can have the ex-employee log in and transfer the MA rights to another user or if you have their login info you can do it also. https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Account-management/How-to-transfer-the-role-of-Master-Admini...
If that's not possible, you would have to call support and have them fill out a MA transfer request.
Re: How do I remove a master administrator that is an disgruntled ex-employee who was the bookkeeper kevin [removed]
Hey there, StevenRothman.
You've come to the right place for assistance. I'd be glad to walk you through the steps of transferring the role of master administrator in your QuickBooks Online account.
Here's how to get this done:
1. Sign in as the master admin. If you can't sign-in on the main login page, try accounts.intuit.com and select I forgot my user ID or password.
2. Invite or choose the new master admin.
This article provides more info about this process: Change your QuickBooks Online master admin user
Since you mentioned the current master administrator is unavailable, you can send a request to the Account Protection Team to transfer the role. The following link offers additional details about requesting to be the master admin or primary contact.
Please don't hesitate to reach back out if you have any other questions. I'll be here to lend a hand.
For your reference
If Intuit declined your claim, you may have other options as workaround with an extra effort.
