I thought import of information would be automatic once I purchased new plan and input the baqsic accounts and Corp info.
What do I need to do to move all the data from old QB's and Intuit Payroll to new QB's and Payroll?
Hello, @PJN1025.
I can share some information on migrating your QuickBooks Desktop account to QuickBooks Online.
When you switch from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online, you can transfer much of the information from your company file without having to re-enter it manually. However, there are some pieces of information that won’t convert or transfer automatically with your company file. Information that will convert, with changes may be handled differently in QuickBooks Online than it was in QuickBooks Desktop and may need some adjustment after migration. Information that won’t convert won’t be automatically transferred with your company file and will need to be manually re-added after migration.
Because this process is detailed, I am sharing an article that will lay this out for you, step by step: Migrating from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.
If you run into any issues, please reach back out and I'm happy to discuss!
You can buy a 3rd service to convert data from QB Desktop or another accounting system to QB Online including these ones
1. Payroll
2. Attachments
3. Quotes/Estimates/Purchase Orders
4. Inventories
5. Supplier bank details
