QBO Plus Uploaded pdf Documents

I am in the process of extracting data from account A and uploading it to account B to fix a hopelessly broken inventory in account A.

Is it possible to go to the uploaded attachments view list and download them to my desktop in order to attach them to the appropriate files in the new account B?

I am using an app which does not handle linked transactions or attachments when it downloads invoices/sales receipts/bank deposits/checks/customers/vendors etc.  It will be VERY time consuming to go through every record in the old QBO account and download them from where they are attached, especially since all records do not have attachments.

I hope your week is off to a great start, BlueJ!

Thanks for sharing on-point details about your situation. Good news! It's possible to get the files from the Uploaded Attachments page. I can guide you through the steps.

You can opt to export them by batch or download them individually. Let me show both ways.

To export by batch:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then Attachments.
  2. Put a check mark on the attachments you need.
  3. Click the Batch Actions drop-down.
  4. Select Export

They'll be exported in a zip format. All you need to do is convert, save and upload them to Account B.

To download individually:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then Attachments.
  2. Locate the file you need.
  3. Click Download

Here are articles for future reference:

That's it! You are on your way of seeing these attachments to your new account.

Indeed, there are a lot of third-party apps available for the process you need. But, when hurdles block the way, rest assured the Community is here to help you out!

If you have other questions in mind, don't hesitate to post back. I'll be around.

Thanks so very much, Vivien.  This conversion has been a monumental task for us, but I am so grateful to have found the app to do it.

Your quick reply is appreciated.
