Encryption Table Error

I have been working with QB "technical' support for weeks to resolve an ongoing issue with our QB desktop (2019 Pro). No one seems to know how to handle this technical issue. Their only solution was to completely rebuild our entire company file (8 years of data!!) verus having their data services team review the file. Has anyone else dealt with this issue?

I'd also like this resolved right away, @re162066.

So far, we haven't received similar issue about the "encryption table" error. This prompt can be due to the damaged components in your company files. Thus, performing the Verify and Rebuild process is one option to fix it.

Meanwhile, I know another solution you can perform to get around this issue. You can use the QuickBooks File Doctor to resolve data damage.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Close QuickBooks Desktop, and then download the most recent version (1.4.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub
  2. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  3. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  4. Then, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

After that, please follow steps 2 and 3 in this article: Fix company file issues.

If you get the same result, I'd still suggest contacting our support team. This way, they can escalate this case to our Data Services team if needed.

Once you have the ticket, you can always monitor its status. Please head to this link to get started: Data Services Case Status Request.

For good practice, you can back up your company files. That way, you can restore them in case you run into some data problems.

Stay in touch with me if you have more file management concerns or any QuickBooks-related. I'm here to extend a helping hand.

Any other solutions aside from the data services team looking at this? It is causing major issues between our CRM tool and QB.

Hi Nita.

I'm here to take care of your concern today.

There might be a connection update on your third-party software causing this error to happen. To isolate the issue, I would recommend reaching out to the Commander Software Support. This way, a representative can check and initiate the connection update between QuickBooks Desktop and Commander Software.

For QuickBooks Desktop, you can use this article to fix issues within your file: Fix company file and network issues with QuickBooks File Doctor.

If you have any other questions, please let me know by adding a comment below. I'm more than happy to help. Have a good one!

Hi Angela- We need to escalate this issue to your Data Services team. How do we do this? We have exhausted every single troubleshooting tactic that your team has provided except having our company file escalated to your data services team. We have disconnected every third party application, removed certificates, and on and on...it all points to an encryption error that can only be addressed by that team. Asking us to rebuild our company file is unrealistic as it has 8 years worth of tranactions (millions). If there is a fee associated with having the data services team review the file then so be it, but it needs to be done. Please provide the appropriate number so that I can escalate this. The general number I have been using doesn't seem like the appropriate way to have this addressed.
