I have repaired and verified the company file but still keep getting these error messages. How do I stop them?

I appreciate your effort in performing verify and rebuild. Let's troubleshoot this together and ensure you will no longer receive the error 5528.

Since you're still facing a data issue even after verifying and rebuilding the file, let's go ahead and use the QuickBooks File Doctor to address any company file problems in QuickBooks Desktop.

To begin the process, download and install QuickBooks Tool Hub:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download the latest version of the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
  3. Save the file in a location that’s easy to access, like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop. Note: If you’ve previously installed the Tool Hub, you can check your current version by selecting the Home tab—your version will be displayed at the bottom.
  4. Open the downloaded file (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install it and agree to the terms and conditions.
  6. Once the installation is complete, double-click the Tool Hub icon on your desktop to launch the application.

Note: If you can’t locate the icon, search for QuickBooks Tool Hub in Windows and select the program.

Now let's run the Quick Fix My File tool:

  1. In the Tool Hub, click on Company File Issues.
  2. Select Quick Fix My File.
  3. After it completes, click OK and then launch your QuickBooks.

Next, we’ll proceed to use the QuickBooks File Doctor:

  1. From the Tool Hub, again choose Company File Issues.
  2. Click on Run QuickBooks File Doctor. It may take up to a minute for the File Doctor to open.
  3. Note: If it doesn’t open, search for QuickBooks Desktop File Doctor and launch it manually.
  4. In QuickBooks File Doctor, select your company file from the dropdown menu. If your file isn’t listed, click Browse to find it.
  5. Choose Check your file (middle option only) and then click Continue.
  6. Enter your QuickBooks admin password and select Next.

The scan duration depends on the size of your file and may take 10–15 minutes. Keep in mind that the scan result might indicate that it was unsuccessful, even if it resolved your issue. After the scan is complete, open QuickBooks and access your company file.

If you continue to face the same issue, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Desktop Support Team. They have tools and expertise to help diagnose and resolve any errors you are experiencing.

@montanasg

After you run the Verify/Rebuild Data utility, did you still find 5528 unresolved error messages or else?

Yes, same 5528 messages keep popping up.

Your file is corrupted and I'm not sure QB ToolHub can fix it. You need to purchase a 3rd party file repair service. You should contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA for details.
