My tool bar settings keep reverting back every time I open QB and top  bar is blank.

Hello there, dvm mfb.

 

This could be a program issue that needs to be fixed by updating your QuickBooks account. Also, only the Master admin can update the company program.

 

Here's how:

  1. Click the Help menu, then choose Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. On the Update QuickBooks Desktop page, click the Options button.
  3. Select the Yes radio button on Automatic Update.
  4. Click the Yes button on the Shared Download line.
  5. Select Mark All, then click Save.
  6. Next, click the Update Now button.
  7. Tick Reset Update, and then click the Get Updates button.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Restart QuickBooks. When prompted, accept the option to install the new release.

Lastly, Repair you QuickBooks Desktop account. Once done, open again your QuickBooks Desktop account.

I'm using Windows10. What are the repair instructions?  Everything listed is for later versions.  Disappointed in Intuit QB.  I just purchase and installed 2019 and am having issues on the first day.

I got you the steps for repairing QuickBooks in Windows 10. Here's how:

  1. Restart your computer to close unnecessary programs interfering with QuickBooks.
  2. Back up your QuickBooks company file.
  3. Select Start and then Control Panel.
  4. Select Programs and Features. If necessary, choose Uninstall a program.
  5. (If you don't see these options, select Programs, then Program Features.)
  6. Select QuickBooks in the list of programs and choose Uninstall/Change.
  7. Select Continue, then Next.
  8. Select Repair then Next. Wait for the repair to complete.
  9. Choose Finish. Restart your computer if prompted.

Followed all directions and no change still has blank top icon tool bar.

  1. Click the link to head to the Official Intuit Contact page.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop, then the version of QuickBooks that you're using.
