Does anyone know how to disable certain credit cards or payment methods (PayPal, Venmo) in the GoPayment app?  I was told that this was possible, but can't figure out how to disable the unwanted ones.  TIA!

Hey there, Kitty. I totally get how frustrating it can be trying to manage payment methods in the GoPayment app. Fortunately, you can disable credit cards or services like PayPal and Venmo pretty easily.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the GoPayment app and log in to your account.
  2. Tap on the menu icon in the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Select Settings from the menu.
  4. Scroll down to the Payment Methods section and tap on it.
  5. Toggle off the payment methods you want to disable, such as PayPal or Venmo.

Hi Jean,

I am using the app on an IOS device and do not see those options.  When I log into payments through Quickbooks online the only option I have is to disable American Express.  Can you please walk me through the process on a computer through QBO or on the IOS app?

Good afternoon, @kitty-speck-hold

Thanks for chiming back in and asking additional questions.

Here's how to disable/make a payment inactive in QBO via computer:

  1. Go to the Gear icon in the top right-hand corner.
  2. Select All Lists below the "Lists" column.
  3. Tap Payment Methods

       4. Click the drop-down icon beside the payment you want to delete.

       5. Hit Make Inactive

This should do this trick. Reach back out if you have any other questions. Take care!

Thanks for the response.  There are no drop downs next to the payment methods in my version.  I was able to disable the ones I wanted by going to company settings, the sales tab and payments through there for anyone else trying to do the same.

I appreciate your time.
