How do I stop Quickbooks Online from constantly trying to create rules? Quickbooks always wants to create a rule and then I have to tell it not to do so.
I'd prefer if Quickbooks did not create rules unless I specifically asked for a rule to be created. What is happening to me is that Quickbooks wants to create new rules and then I have to tell it not to do so, which is annoying.
Let's get rid of that bank rule pop-up suggestion and improve your online banking experience.
Are you referring to the "create bank rules" suggestion that pops up when you're on the Banking page? If so, it's a default setting if you haven't created a bank rule yet. But can stop this from happening by creating dummy bank rule.
Let me show you how:
Go to the Banking page.
Select Bank Rules.
Click New rule.
Choose Is exactly as your condition.
In the next field, enter a condition that won't match any of your bank transactions. For example, you can enter "Dummy only -- not for use."
Let me join the thread and share my thoughts about the pop up for bank rules.
These pop-ups act as a notification for our users, so they'll have a better experience while using our products. Other than manually closing these pop-ups or following what my colleague @JonpriL_L suggested, I don't have any other options available at this point.
No worries though. Our customer's suggestions are important to us, and what you mentioned above has been noted.
If you have any other questions or clarifications, feel free to leave them in the comments below. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
