Just to clarify, are you trying to set up a UK QuickBooks Online account? If so, it sounds like you may have signed up for the US version. These versions are optimized and configured for their respective regions, so options such as postal codes can vary. Additionally, you can signup for the UK version at the following link: QuickBooks UK.

I was thinking the same so i cancel this one and sign up with the Uk version on the link you provided. I was on a 30 day trial so no loss and only been seeing what it can do etc.
