Is there a way to find and replace entries?

There is no find and replace, that would be a function in a work processor

Is there a way to find and replace entries?

Does this mean you can do a "find and replace" in Quicken, but not in Quickbooks?

We'd be glad to hear your thoughts about this feature, rsrobinshome.

The Find and Replace feature is currently not supported in QuickBooks Desktop. We're always evolving the software to make it more user friendly to all the users. I'd recommend sending feedback to our developers to have this option added in a future update.

Here's how:

  1. Click Help at the top.
  2. Select Send Feedback Online, and then choose Product Suggestion.
  3. Type in your feedback or feature request.
  4. Click the Send Feedback button.

I'm always around if you have more questions. Thanks for dropping by.

Is there a way to find and replace entries?

Without search and replace and without Rules that apply historically, the editing process for changing an account for an item is painfully laborious! There's got to be something.

pardon me.  Or excuse me.  But this is ridiculous.  This is why QuickBooks has always been a fatally flawed product.  Quicken is much more versatile but does not have some of the abilities to capture all data as QuickBooks does.

To say "we are working on it "means the company does not care.

@BODYWISE007

You may utilize the migration tool as a workaround to find and replace the data.

Is there a way to find and replace entries?

I use Quickbooks Manufacturing/Wholesale Edition of Enterprise. In the 2023 version, if I go into my inventory assemblies, find the item i want to "find and replace" with something else. Right click and select "where Used (in assemblies)" it'll bring up another window where you can then replace it when another inventory item.
