Printing a Comprehensive 1099 Report

Can someone help me either print the 1099 Information Sheet that is populated prior to actually filing your 1099's - when I hit print report it opens a separate window but none of the menus work in that box so I can not actually print the report.

 

Tried to customize the 1099 Contractor Detail & Summary and also the 1099 Contractor Transaction detail reports to show: Contractor Name, Tax ID, Address, and Summary Balance - none of the reports would give me all that detail in one report

 

Is there something I'm missing in getting all this detail in one report?

    Thanks for reaching out to us today, @Brenda-TwinLakes.

     

    I have some information about the report. While you're unable to add these details (contractor name, tax ID, address, and summary balance) in the 1099 Contractor Detail and Summary report, you'll want to pull up the vendor contact list report and add them.

     

    Here's how:

    1. Go to Reports tab.
    2. Enter Vendor Contact List in the search field.
    3. Tap the Customize button.
    4. Tick the Rows/Columns drop-down. Then, mark the boxes next to Address, Vendor, and Tax ID.
    5. Click Run report. 

    After that, export the report by selecting the Export icon beside the Printer icon. See added screenshot below.

     

     

    Once done, you can then export your 1099 Contractor Balance Detail report to Excel and add the columns on the Vendor List manually.

    This doesn't resolve why the 1099 Information Report can't be printed as part of the 1099 process. I was able to print the report for 1 client but not for any others. The PRINT prompt is not coming up when the report is generated.

      A better work-around for the time being is to copy & paste the info sheet info into Word or Excel. At least it gives the needed data, keeps it somewhat intact and doesn't require manual entries.
