Windows 11 Compatibility

We have recently upgraded to Windows 11.  Immediately we were unable to export reports into Excel.  We are using QB Desktop Enterprise 2022 and it is supposed to be certified compatible with Windows 11.  I have found this not to be the case.  Our computers that are still using Windows 10 do not have this problem.  Does anyone know when Intuit will address this issue?

Let's make sure you'll be able to successfully export reports, ipower.

 

Sometimes, you may encounter issues when exporting to Excel. If you're using Microsoft Office 365, ensure to use the version installed on your computer instead of using the web browser version. Then, make sure your QuickBooks version is up to date. Once done, you can now open QuickBooks and export the report. Follow the steps below: 

 

  1. Go to the Reports menu and open any report on the list.
  2. Select the Excel button. All export options, including Excel, should be available.

 

But if you still can't export, check the QuickBooks system requirements. Each QuickBooks Desktop version works with specific versions of Microsoft Office. If you've found out that your Microsoft Office version isn't compatible, you'll have to upgrade.

Aside from that, there are times you'll encounter problems and errors when using QuickBooks. The most basic thing that you'll have to do to fix the issue is to get the QuickBooks Tool Hub's recent version. What happens when you try to export reports to Excel? For example, do you get an error message?

When attempting to export to Excel all selections are grayed out except for exporting in csv formatting.  So no there isn't any type of error message.  The option to export in xls format is not available.  I have used the QB Tool Hub without success.  Again this is only a Windows 11 issue.

Normally, the troubleshooting steps I provided above to fix the export to Excel issues should work and let you continue working with QuickBooks again. Since you're still unable to do so, I recommend reaching out to our support team so they can double-check why is this happening. They have also the tools to pull up your account in a more secure environment. Here's how to reach them:

 

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Let's talk, and then choose a way to connect.
