I am an accountant and have just set up quickbooks for them. I have made my self the primary admin but I need them to have access and also to link their bank account. How do i do this?

Since you're the Primary admin of your QuickBooks Online account, you can invite your client as a user. Then have them connect their bank account from the Banking menu.

Here's how:

1. Click the Gear icon in the upper right corner.

2. Under YOUR COMPANY, select Manage users.

3. Click Add user and enter your client’s full name and email address.

4. In Assign roles, choose the right role for them.

5. Click Send invite.

You can control what your client can see and do by selecting their user role when you invite them. This way, you don’t have to give them full admin access.

Once they are set up, they can link their bank account, or you can do it for them. Follow the steps below.

  1. Go to All apps and select Accounting.
  2. Click Bank transactions.
  3. In the top-right corner, click Link account.
  4. Search for their bank and sign in with their banking credentials.
  5. Connect it.

Please note that only one person needs to link the account. If you've already connected it as admin, your client doesn't need to redo this step.

If you run into any trouble getting your client set up or linking their bank, just let us know. We are happy to help get everything squared away.
