Question

How do you setup MFA for Quickbooks desktop?

Hello,

Does anyone know if it's possible to setup a MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) for Quickbooks desktop?

Thanks,

Ash

Hey there ashley13,

Having multi-factor authentication is a great way to protect your data and make sure only authorized users have access to it. I'm happy to go over the options for QuickBooks Desktop.

When you create users in QuickBooks Desktop, it's possible to set them up with a password or the program may even require that you give them a password depending on the kind of sensitive information you have in your company file. Learn more about passwords here: Password security for QuickBooks Desktop

As for MFA, that's not something available in QuickBooks Desktop at this time. Feel free to share your feedback about this by going to the Help menu and choosing Send Feedback Online. We love hearing from customers like you to learn the different ways to enhance the product to meet your business needs.

Get back in touch if you need anything else. Have a great day!
