I have working on a reconciliation and I see some deposits on the dashboard.  I pull them into the checking account.  When I do that, I get a double entry - the deposit and a credit.  How do I remove the credit?

You’ll first need to verify whether these transactions are double entries before making a decision. You can review them in the Chart of Accounts section to find their origin.

Here’s how:

  1. In your Chart of Accounts, select View Register for your checking account.
  2. Click the transaction you want to verify, then select Edit.
  3. Once you're routed to the transaction page, select More at the bottom, then click Audit History.

If the audit history shows that these are indeed duplicate entries, it is safe to remove them. Return to your checking account register, follow the steps above, and select Delete instead of Edit.
