What is your bank's name, and what file format are you downloading from their website (for example, .QBO, .OFX, or .CSV)? Do you get a specific error message when the import fails, or does the process stop or freeze? If so, what does it say exactly?

Navigation labels may vary slightly depending on your version of QuickBooks for Mac and your macOS version. Ensure your software has the latest maintenance patches and that you're using a supported version of QuickBooks Desktop. Log in to your bank's website directly through your web browser and redownload your statement transactions as a Web Connect (.qbo) file. It is not advisable to import CSV or Excel files directly into Bank Feeds, as QuickBooks Mac requires the native .qbo format.

Next, manually update your list of financial institutions in QuickBooks, as the automatic refresh can sometimes fail. Follow these steps:

1. Go to the File menu, then select Close Company.
2. Press Command + 1 on your keyboard to open the Product Information window.
3. Go to the Logging tab, then select Delete FiDir.
4. Close and reopen QuickBooks.
5. Open your company file. Go to the Banking menu, then select Online Banking Setup to reconnect your account.
