After an adjustment is made on a paystub by using OPEN PAYCHECK DETAIL, Quickbooks moves the paystub it to print first. How do you stop that and keep the checks is the order preset?.

To retain the paycheck in order, Hart. You'll need to manually select the checks in the order you want them printed.

Since the adjustment causes a reordering issue, you can manually deselect the adjusted paycheck from the print queue and only print the remaining checks. Once those are printed, you can go back and print the adjusted Paystubs separately.

Here's how:

  1. Go to File and choose Print Forms.
  2. Select Paystubs.
  3. Deselect all the paychecks except the adjusted one by unchecking the boxes.
  4. Recheck the boxes manually, one at a time, in the correct printing order.

Regarding your first concern, QuickBooks doesn't provide an automated way to reorder paychecks after adjustments. QuickBooks typically prioritizes paychecks based on the most recently updated, placing them first in the print queue.

In this case, we recommend sending your feedback to our product development team. Your input helps improve the platform and better meet your needs.
