Which QB Desktop year version?

Can you access CAMPS and find your license status there?

It's a pleasure to have you in the Community today.

I appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention regarding access issues to key features after payment was processed post-cancellation in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

To begin I recommend verifying your account status in QuickBooks to ensure it accurately reflects the payment for your renewal payment. To do so, please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Check your payroll service subscription

  1. Close all your company files and restart your computer.
  2. Open QuickBooks, go to Employees, pick My Payroll Service, then choose Manage Service Key.
  3. Ensure that your Service Name and Status are accurate and displayed as Active
  4. If it showed as canceled, click on Edit and verify the service key number. If it is incorrect, input the correct service key.
  5. Select Next, uncheck the Open Payroll Setup box, and then select Finish.

Step 2: Register and update your QuickBooks Desktop

Having the latest security and software enhancements is crucial. Do verify if your software is registered by following the steps provided in the article.

Step 3: Run Quick Fix my Program from QuickBooks Tool Hub

How can i reactivate my payroll subscription.  I go into Employees - my payroll service - account/billing information then I am supposed to verify my account my clicking on my name and then putting in my email address and phone number - I do that and it tells me the account can't be verified.  How can I fix this and get payroll up and running again

@DRK5  When my payroll subscription lapsed earlier this year, it booted me from the 'grandfathered' plan and I had to purchase a new service and replace my payroll service keys.

You can bring the QuickBooks Service Keys window up by pressing CTRL+K within QuickBooks Desktop.

Then, click the Edit button to bring up a window to enter the payroll service key in.

This key will be different for each QuickBooks company. If your experience is anything like mine was, you'll be playing Telephone Tag with QB's customer support; they have to generate the payroll service keys on their end and tell them to you.
