Question

Updates error 12030, network issue

I’ve tried many fixes and have been unable to get my updates.  Most importantly, the July 1 update for the tax table.  I d/l the Tool Hub, followed instructions, and could not access its help.

I’ve disabled virus protection and tried to update.  I’ve restarted my computer twice.

Welcome to the Community, Linda1066. I appreciate your detailed information.

Since you've already tried troubleshooting with the QuickBooks Tool Hub, I'd recommend trying some of our recommended processes for update errors.

Initially, you can try checking the system date and time on your computer.

Here's how:
 

  1. Right-click the system clock on the desktop and choose Adjust Date/Time.
  2. Click Change date and time, then specify your current date and time. An incorrect system date/time on the computer can interfere with the update process.
  3. Select OK twice.
  4. Close and reopen QuickBooks Desktop.
  5. Try running the update again.


If the update still isn’t working, you can try some of the additional troubleshooting from our Fix QuickBooks Desktop Update Errors article. You can also try using your Verify and Rebuild utilities.

In the event the update continues having problems installing, you can try resetting it if you haven't yet. This can help clear a corrupted, stuck download from prior attempts. You can reset it by going to Help, Update QuickBooks Desktop, Update Now, checking the option for Reset Update, then clicking Get Updates. If the download succeeds, restart QuickBooks and accept your installation prompt, then go to Employees, Get Payroll Updates, and select Update to apply the tax table.

Thanks for the suggestions.  Time/Date is accurate.  It appears to be a connectivity issue. Errors #12030 and 12031.  I’ve restarted QB, and still no go.

@Linda1066 Run the Verify/Rebuild Data utility. Any error messages?
