Welcome to the Community. I can see the benefit of being able to download the general ledger account and I'll be happy to steer you in the right direction. QuickBooks is designed to help you streamline your work using the amazing accounting features offered in the program. 

In order to download an account, you can export it by clicking on Accounting > Chart of Accounts > click on the drop-down next to the account in question > click on Run report. Once you've ran the report, you ca export it using the Export button on the top-right corner of your report screen.
