How to check our total operating earnings(business profit)

How can we check our total operating earnings(business profit)?for example.. total amount every month !We've added Sales price and Cost on each Product information as the image below.But cannot see the actual operating profit on any Report menu. (What we want : Sales price-Cost=?? )So many types of reports in QB.. it's hard to find it out.I've tried but and similar one but there's no data we added on "Cost" Please let me know ASAP..!!!

create invoice

When i create an invoice throught an API, its returning LinkedTxn.TxnType as "Payment" for some invoices. But it's not happening earlier invoices. Because of this, the payment is happening with out my intervention. I would like to know what are the cases automatically returns LinkedTxn.
