Are you using a third-party app to generate your invoices? If so, please ensure that any International Commercial Terms (Incoterms) are formatted as a 3-character code before regenerating and submitting the invoices.

If you generate e-invoices through the standard method in QuickBooks Online, please verify that e-invoicing is fully set up by following the instructions in this article: How to set up e-invoicing in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, if your invoices require the Incoterms field, you can create a custom field to include it, ensuring it won't affect your e-invoicing submission.

To help you further, could you please share the steps you took to generate the e-invoice and the context of how you encountered this error message?

I will leave this thread open for any additional information. Please let us know if you have any questions or require further assistance.
