Question

ACH Payments

Hello!  I have a retail company and run my sales in POS, but want to give my commercial customers an option to pay by ACH.  Invoices/statements are sent through my POS.

Is there a way to create an open payment link they can use to pay invoices and/or statements?  When I looked into the payment link option, it wanted me to list a payment amount, but that will vary.

Hello, @Lumber123. Currently, QuickBooks Online payment links must specify an amount at creation, so an open "pay any amount" link isn't available. This ensures customer payments match your books for automatic bookkeeping and reconciliation.

To let customers pay varying totals via ACH, you'll want to use invoices with online payments enabled. Each invoice will carry its own specific balance, allowing your customers to pay the exact amount due. Depending on your preference, you can choose between a one-time payment link for a specific transaction or a multi-use link for standard services.
