Question

Emails not sending

Could someone explain why every single time QB does an update there are things that quit working?  I’ve been sending invoices and copying me to the same customers forever.  Now QB Online won’t send them.  I tried a different email, cleared the cache.  Restarted everything.  No luck.  This after just trying to resolve and issue with vendor messages not showing up.  Doesn’t anyone test these updates before they are released?

I completely understand how frustrating it is when things stop working after an update. This usually happens when an update doesn't install completely, when a recent Windows update conflicts with QuickBooks, or when connected services need to be reconnected.

Since you've already done the basic troubleshooting, I recommend reaching out to your IT person to add QuickBooks Online's mail server hostnames and IP addresses to your email server's allow list, so your server knows to trust and deliver emails from QuickBooks.

If the issue persists, you can reach out to our Intuit Expert team. They can dig deeper into exactly why your invoices aren't going through and give you a real-time resolution.

If you have any other questions, feel free to let us know. We're here to help.

I do not have an IT person in my business.  I would need instructions on how to do this.  It has not been a problem before so not sure why after QB did an update it no longer works.  For now my only way to send invoices in to create a pdf and send them through my Outlook account which works just fine.  QB keeps saying my email and some of my customer emails are not deliverable.  And of course they work just fine.  Pretty sure this is a QB problem.
