How to stop indirect edit by system?

QB Online keeps changing an entry and I need to correct it every time, how do I prevent the system from automatically making changes?

You can stop these automatic changes by turning off features like Bank Rules, Automatic Matching, Suggested Categorization, and Auto-Applying Credits/Bill Payments in your settings. It is also worth checking the Audit Log to see if other users are making edits. Sometimes, a change someone else makes to a primary entry will cause the system to automatically adjust the linked transactions.

 

To disable a bank rule, follow the steps below:

 

  1. From the left menu, hover over All apps, Accounting, and choose Rules.
  2. Locate the rule and choose Disable from the Actions dropdown arrow.
