Quickbooks 2024 renewal

QuickBooks Desktop 2024 has moved away from the three-year release lifecycle. It will not be discontinued in May 2027 and has no sunset date.  

The software will receive continuous maintenance and support, eliminating the need to install annual upgrades on every computer. Simply accept the in-product update prompts inside QuickBooks to keep your system current.  

Additionally, as long as you and your client maintain active annual subscriptions, Enhanced Payroll for Accountants will continue seamlessly fetching tax tables and processing quarterly filings.

​@Heather_KEB Word is circulating that they will continue to provide support for QB Desktop Pro/Premier/Mac beyond May 2027. They have announced new pricing for renewals, effective October 2026 onwards. The only difference—according to rumors—is that they will stop using the "2024" designation starting next year to avoid confusion. It appears they have decided to raise prices annually to gradually encourage users to switch to the Enterprise or Online versions, thereby avoiding a sudden mass migration next year.

If your client insists on using QB Desktop, you should contact ​@Fiat Lux_ASIA directly. They have been helping my clients renew their licenses since last year with discounts of 20% or more, and they also allow subscription fees to be paid quarterly to help their cashflows.
