Need help!  We have an authorized user who has printed checks for over a year and suddenly gets a message that she is not authorized to print them and to ask the administrator to add them.

I checked and she has full access.

What has changed?!

An authorized user with full access can print checks, @annh3. The issue is likely browser-related, as no changes have been made in QuickBooks Online to prevent check printing.

In situations like this, we recommend clearing your browser's cache to resolve the issue. Afterward, the user can try printing the checks again. You can also use other supported browsers, such as Google Chrome or Safari for Mac users.

If the issue persists, contact our Live Support team for a secure session and immediate resolution by following the steps below:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Navigate (?) Help on the upper right.
  3. Go to the Search tab and click Contact Us.
  4. Select Ask about something else.
  5. Enter your concern about a user printing checks.
  6. Hit Continue.
  7. Choose whether: Chat with us or Have us call you.

Kindly check our support hours to see representative availability for your product.

As an additional tip for future reference, customize the Check Detail report to review printed checks. Use the Filter option, select Printed Checks, and choose Printed to show checks for a specific period. Alternatively, select To be printed to display checks pending for printing.
