Question

Bill Payment

We do NOT use Quickbooks accounting.  (we only use QB intuit online payroll)
I am wondering how helpful Quickbooks  Bill payment would be if I do not use QB accounting?  I want to pay our vendors with ACH.   How would this work if I do not use QB accounting?

I am currently also looking into Bill.com and Melio.  What advantages does QB have over these.

Thanks

LDO

QB Bill Payment is add-on and you can't use it as a stand alone app.

You can use Bill.com as a stand alone app and get rewards

Another option, you can use Melio as a stand alone app. It offers a free plan and you can get cashbacks.

Hello there, LDO.

Thank you for reaching out. Allow me to provide some information about bill payment processes.

Yes, SIAB is actually right. QuickBooks Bill Pay is designed to integrate with QuickBooks accounting products for streamlined bill management. However, if you have a subscription to Bill.com and Melio, you can connect that to your QuickBooks Online Payroll standalone subscription by navigating to the Apps menu.

On the other hand, if you want to use QuickBooks Bill Pay, you need a QuickBooks Online account, which streamlines accounts payable by allowing users to pay vendors via ACH or check directly within the platform, eliminating manual entry and reducing errors.
