Question

QBO Recurring Payments page is giving 404 error

I’m trying to setup a recurring payment for a customer for the first time. When I navigate to:

Gear/Settings → Recurring Transactions → New → Payments

I get a 404 error with this page URL:

https://qbo.intuit.com/app/recurringpayment

Is there something I’m doing wrong? Does it have to do with my QBO subscription level?

You are not doing anything wrong, and this is not a limitation of your QuickBooks Online subscription. Recurring transactions are fully supported on all plan levels.

An Error 404 on this specific page is usually caused by outdated or corrupted browser data interfering with how QuickBooks loads the URL.

You can bypass this by opening your QuickBooks Online account in a private or incognito browser to see if the page loads properly. Then, clear your browser’s cache and delete any stored data or cookies related to Intuit, since this can sometimes affect site performance.

If the issue persists, make sure your browser is updated to the latest version. You can also add Intuit to your browser's list of trusted sites to help prevent future interruptions.

After performing these steps, you should be able to proceed with setting up your Recurring payments without any issues.

I tried 2 different browsers and tried incognito browser mode.

I tried a different computer with incognito browser mode.

None of it worked.

Can you verify it works on your end?

Can anyone else verify it?

I’m on QuickBooks Online Simple Start. Is there something wrong with my QBO account?

There must be something wrong with my QBO account.

I just logged into one of my client’s QBO account on the same computer, same browser, with my same user login ID that can access my QBO account and my client’s QBO account.

The recurring payments page for my client’s QBO account comes up fine.

Same computer.

Same web browser.

Same user login.

Please advise how to fix my QBO account.
