Since the QBO update around 12 April, there has been a serious regression affecting quote-to-invoice workflows involving sub-customers and parent billing accounts. This is not a minor UI issue. It is actively preventing businesses from invoicing clients and getting paid.Workflow That Has Been BrokenCreate quote for sub-customer/site contact.Quote is accepted.Convert accepted quote to invoice.Change invoice customer to parent company for billing purposes.QBO displays warning that linked transactions will be removed. After confirmation:ALL invoice line items are deletedInvoice total resets to $0.00Linked quote detachesInvoice becomes unusableThis workflow worked correctly before the April update.Partial Fix ReleasedAround 3 days ago, Intuit appears to have partially patched the issue:the quote now remains linked ONLY if the customer is NOT changed. However the core issue still exists:Changing from sub-customer to parent customer destroys the invoice.Real Business ImpactThis bug is severely
I am looking for help setting up in QB Pro 2015 a new van that we purchased. We did a down payment (2 checks actually) and financed the rest. I am not a bookkeeper and get confused and the debit and credit answers. I went to set up a fixed asset account and the first part asked to categorize it as income or expense. Not sure which to choose. Then I need to set up an account for the loan amount. Should it be a loan account or a long term liability account? And do i include the amount financed or the total amount with the interest costs? Where do i account for the deposit on the van? One was for $1000 and one was for $9000. I posted them temporarily in the fixed asset area, but not sure if that is correct. (I can always change it) I have set up other loans but not sure that i have done it correctly. We dont do depreciation thru QB. Our accountant and tax preparer does that when we do our taxes. since
I want to add my spouse as an authorized user to my quickbooks.
I recently upgraded my QB from 2018 to 2019. I received a notice (i.e., a window opened within the software) about QB collecting my data for product purposes, and within the notice there was a supposed link to learn about how to opt out of that. When I clicked on the link, it brought me to a notice that said the page was non-existent.How do I Opt-Out?
How do I activate my quickbooks debit card
The dates of the pay period do not align with my company's pay period. How can I change this?
I just received an email from Intuit with this extremely ironic statement: Please be aware that YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for the timely filing of employment tax returns and the timely payment of employment taxes for your employees, even if you have authorized a service provider to file the returns and make the payments. This is just one of the reasons I don't want Intuit managing my payroll taxes. There are many other reasons but it's ironic that Intuit is actually pointing this out! Think about this. What Intuit is saying is "you now must let us file and pay your payroll taxes but you are responsible for filing and paying your own payroll taxes."
I feel like I'm going in circles trying to get in touch with a real customer support person. My company has two instances of Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise. The individual that managed the licenses and payments is no longer with the company. I'm trying to log into their Quickbooks Online account to update the contact information and manage the billing information. While I do have access to their old email account, I don't have access to their phone for the 2FA. I tried calling the support number and while I did get through to a human I could not understand what they were saying as there was a baby crying in the background. They mentioned something about a transfer ownership form, but I would need provide my a copy of my Government ID?!?! I'm absolutely not providing that. Please, is there any way possible to talk to a real person either via phone or email? I have admin access to the Quickbooks company files and have the 2 license keys.

Why is sales tax not calculated in the total? Why don't I have a date in front of each product or service on my invoice?
Hi, I have 79 employees and the majority of them are messaging me today that they are unable to login to Workforce. The message they see is "We can't sign you in. Your employer has adjusted your access to Workforce. You'll need to reach out to them to regain access." But, I haven't done anything!!! How do I fix this??? Thank you in advance!
I cannot figure out for the life of me how to get a payroll report for one specific job for a month. Every report I try pulling does not give me what I need, which is just how much we've spent on payroll for a specific job in QB Desktop. I've tried this: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/employees-and-payroll/hours-worked-report/00/247809but it does not break this down the way I need it? I even tried customizing the report to reflect only the employees worked at the job and the job itself, but still not accurate. Why can't I just run a report to show how much was paid in payroll for a specific job during a specific time frame?
Where do I change the size of the signature?
Whether you've been using QuickBooks for years or you're still getting your footing, there's always a workflow worth refining. This month's roundup covers everything from automating customer payments to sending receipts after the fact. Let's get into it.1. Where can I download an ACH form to pass to my customers to fill out? 2. How do I categorize a credit card payment? 3. How do I view past journal entries to check them? 4. How do I apply a vendor credit to the amount owed to a vendor? 5. If an invoice has been paid, how do I send a receipt to the customer to show that it was paid?1. Where can I download an ACH form to pass to my customers to fill out?The great news is that there's no separate ACH form to hunt down and email. QuickBooks Online handles this directly through Autopay, which lets your customers authorize recurring payments electronically right from their invoice. Here's how it works: once you have a recurring invoice set up with QuickBooks Payments enabled, your customer
Have a Server we installed QuickBooks Enterprise 24.0 - Windows Server 2022. We are unable to get multi-user mode working. When we try to open, comes up with H202 error. Things we've tried; - Uninstalling and clean reinstall - Recreating the ND file - Installing full QB Desktop app, Stop hosting, start hosting - Created new QB Database file - Scanned folders with QB Database Manager - Changed port - Reviewed the ND file, does NOT have the right engine name or port, but no other versions of QB are installed on this system. - Manually changing ND file to reflect correct "database server" setting - still not working. - Running FileDoctor and using QB Tool Hub. Any ideas? I really don't want to have to do a wipe and reload on this server to fix this.
Hi everyone,I'm currently trying to streamline the bookkeeping for my passion project, Soundify Premium(it's a small content and audio setup site). We recently started offering a small premium membership tier via Stripe, but I’m having a bit of trouble mapping the automated sync into QuickBooks Online.Every time a user upgrades, the transaction logs as a generic sales receipt instead of breaking down the specific tax category we set up. Has anyone else running a small media or subscription site faced this sync lag with Stripe/QBO integration? Would love to know if I need a third-party connector or if I'm just missing a native mapping toggle. Thanks in advance!
I completed the reconcilation process but i need to make a change. How do i unreconcile a bank statement?
Hello, I work at three churches. Two of them set up their designated/restricted/holding funds on the balance sheet under liabilities. This is what I am used to and comfortable with. I recently began working at a new church, and the previous bookkeeper set up the designated/restricted/holding funds on the P&L, and she has classes for each account. When I began working at this church, I received no training, and I was very confused. We also switched from Desktop to Online. Anyway, the finance committee wants to move the designated/restricted/holding funds from the P&L to the Balance sheet. 1. Can I use the reclassifying tool to do this?2. Or can I move the account from the P&L to the Balance Sheet?3. Or should I create brand new accounts on the Balance Sheet and create journal entries with the current balances? Thanks
For over 3 weeks have not been able to transfer funds from 2 external accounts into quickbooks checking. Keep getting try another option. More than enough funds in those accounts. Call quickbooks and green dot and only told me there systems are working fine and to call the other banks. Called other banks and the see nothing about a external transfer being requested. Just fix this issue quickbooks. I have deleted the app and reinstalled, added the banks again for transfers and nothing. I have also gone into desktop instead of mobile and exact same issue.
