Hello all, please excuse me if my questions seem silly. My mother passed away so I’m learning as I go to take over the books. I had a few questions I was hoping someone could help me with. I had to restart reconciliation from Aug 2022 to date. I go to print and there are random reports missing ? Everything balances, where did they go !? also I’m moving onto the general account, how do I Input GST compared to desktop version ? Can’t find button. Thank you in advance 🙏

How do I upload my visa statement?
Hi all,I'm a new bookkeeper and my boss gave me a trial balance of a customer and I'm creating a new company file for this customer onto QB Premier Accountant. There is a balance for Accounts Receivable on the trial balance and I have a hard time figuring out on how I am going to enter the A/R balance. I was thinking, maybe I can create an invoice but realize that it's not the right way because I need to enter Item Name/Number and I do not have that. Any advice?
Canada. QB Online Plus. HST line 101From "Taxes", Select View Summary, I have the total sales number on Line 101. Then click on that number to pull out the detail report, that gives a different total amount. P&L has the same amount as the one in detail report. So the "View summary" line 101 is not correct. But it is impossible to find out where it comes from because clicking on that number to pull the detail report but the total in the detail report is correct. Example: Summary page, line 101 is showing $102.00, click this "102.00" and get the detail one that has total $100.00. P&L has $100.00 which is matched to the detail report.Anyone has an idea why and how to fix it? Thanks !
I am in the income tracker and have the dates at the top all set to All but it still only shows this years invoices that I have done. I would like to see all of them listed but changing the date doesn't seem to matter.
I can not and do not want to disclose all the personal transactions that I have been making. I would rather make one journal entry to account for all the personal expenses I made and treat the personal credit card as a business credit card. Please suggest! Thank you in advance.
Is there ready made QBO Template chart of accounts for ecommerce, for new company setup.Possibly import into QBO
Hoping someone can help with this. Every time I open Quickbooks, my Profit & Loss report opens 2 windows, I get another window that displays the Transaction Detail by Account for last fiscal year & my Create Estimates, Customer Centre and Vender Centre auto open a window. I have no reports scheduled to run. Anyone have any thoughts on why this is happening? Or how to stop it? Thanks,
Print all journal entries ?
I am having issues making the detail types of both accounts match.
I have subscribed to Quickbooks self-employed and have been paid for several invoices since the beginning of 2023. These paid invoices are not showing up on my income statement. If I have to enter each one manually, I can’t figure out how to do it. I didn’t want to connect my bank account to quickbooks. So, my question is:Is there a way to get your income from your paid invoices to show up on reports without connecting a bank account?
Hey there, don't need a primer on the basics of accounting (worked at KPMG etc etc). What I do need a primer is on the logic of this primitive software lol. I recently joined a company which uses QB - QB desktop 2015 to be specific. Yes, I know outdated. QB sales wasn't helpful either when I asked to upgrade to 2020 so I haven't upgraded. Fiscal year is off calendar (March). I'm interested in calendar. Why in the world would ending retained earnings not = opening retained earnings regardless of how or which period you run your reports? That makes no sense to me? Is it the software? or would/could there be other reasons? I've asked the predecessor but they are not aware of why this happens. So for example, I run a report from Jan to Dec 31 2018 - ending Retained = $100. If I run a report from Jan to Dec 2019, my opening RE should be $100. Why wouldn't this be? Can someone point me to threads/articles discussing this?
