Has anyone figured out if there is a way when customizing a report you can’t filter the Customer/Job name and the Vendor name? When googling it says I should be in the Filter drop-down listings Customer/Job or Vendor Name are not in the listing; just NAME. I use QB Desktop. I’m assuming that I will need to contact QB Support to develope that option for me. (Probably expensive).

You don’t need to contact QuickBooks support since this option is available directly in QuickBooks Desktop. Just select the correct filter from the Customize Report section.

Here’s how:

  1. Open the report you want to pull up from the Reports menu.
  2. On the report page, select Customize Report.
  3. Go to the Filters tab.
  4. Move to the Choose Filter list, then search for and select Preferred Vendor (for Vendor) and Name (for Customer/Job).
  5. Select a specific customer/vendor name or All Vendors / All Names using the drop-down menu beside the filter table.

  6. Click OK to apply the changes.

Feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions.
