Good day,

My product and services list has lost its Category view, it used to have each item under the category. Now the category headings have disappeared.

How can I revert to the category view?

Kind regards

Val

    Hi James,

    Thank you for your reply.

Purely by accident, I hit the little arrow next to Name, and it went back to normal. So that’s where my go to place will be.

I am learning my way around QuickBooks online rapidly. I prefer almost everything on the online programme, except the invoicing. I cant get my invoices and statements to look like they used to, so I am still using QuickBooks Pro for that.

Do you find the formatting options limited, or am I missing something?

    Kind regards

    Hey @Val11_2,

Welcome to the community! There are a couple things you can check.

    • First, click the Gear Icon () and go to Account and Settings. Click the "Advanced" Tab on the left and scroll down to categories. Make sure you have "track classes" turned on.

    • If categories don't return, click the Gear Icon  () again and select "All Lists." Go to Product Categories and make sure the categories you entered are still there.

If neither of those yields results, we can try something else. Hope this helps!

    Hello @lavictoria

There are times that your browser is full of frequently-accessed page resources, thus causing websites, like QuickBooks Online (QBO), to act weirdly. This can be the reason why your list entry is not displaying accordingly.

Let's consider logging into your QBO account using a private or incognito browser so we can isolate this issue. To do so:

    • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
    • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
    • Safari: Command Option P

If this works, you can clear your regular browser's cache so the system can start fresh. But if you get the same results while using a private browser, use a different browser app instead.

Additionally, I've also included this reference for a compilation of articles you can use while working with us: Help Articles for QuickBooks Online.

If there's anything else that I can help you with, please let me know by leaving any comments below. I'll be here to lend a hand.
