Solved

I am currently using QB Self Employed and was informed that this option has been discountinued and I will need to convert to QB Simple Start.  I have been talking to a lady “Precious” that has a foreign accent and I have trouble understanding what she is trying to tell me to do in order to get this done.  So, is there step-by-step instructions that can be provided in order for me to convert over to Simple Start.  I currently have two Etsy shops that flow into my Self-Employed account.  Please advise me at your earliest possible convenience or have someone that clearly speaks the English language contact me to walk me through it.  Sincerely, [Removed]Company ID:  [Removed]

I need this feature disabled for my account. I do not trust the accuracy of AI enough to handle any aspect of my business or finances. Considering the expense of AI responses, I assume you could save some money by making it optional.

I want to change the business address on my invoices and cannot remember how to. I am running qb 6.0 desktop.

Everything was working great until an update in either December or January in which the tracker now only tracks sporadically. I changed nothing in my settings (I did turn it off and back on to see if that helped). I’ll go days with having to enter my trips manually then one day it will work then it’s back to not tracking at all.

If I delete a non-posting invoice do the time and costs become billable again?

I'm reviewing a bill payment and when looking at the audit log, it tells me that there was an "Indirect edit by System" that took two new bills and posted it under the payment so that it would not have a credit. Is there a way to make sure this doesn't happen again?

TLDR: Please do not retire Classic View reports Sorry to make a negative post, but:As part of an account restructuring activity, I just changed a bunch of account numbers...and now "Modern View" is generating an irretrievably, shockingly incorrect balance sheet. Idk if this is a server-side cache issue or what, but it's ridiculous. Thankfully, the "Classic View" reports the correct information. After reading YEARS of complaints about the Modern View reports, I'm thinking it is a failed endeavor. Frankly, even with correct data, the reports are clunky to use, frustrating to navigate, and unreliable technically. But now? Piling on the notion of unreliable data reporting? What could be worse? There is almost no support track for buggy software...so I don't expect anyone to respond. Also, fyi QBO help staff: please do not respond with the usual, "send a ticket", "clear your cache", "watch this video", or "backup your books". I already go ANYWHERE BUT HERE to find answers about the

I am writing on behalf of a financial advisory firm that manages accounting and financial reporting for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online. We are currently developing an internal financial dashboard to consolidate and analyze our clients’ historical accounting data. The purpose is to provide our finance team with centralized reporting, trend analysis, and management insights based on historical transactions and financial records. As QuickBooks Online does not provide all the required historical data and customized reporting capabilities in the format needed for our internal dashboard, we would like to explore accessing the required information through the QuickBooks Online API. Could you please provide us with information regarding: The process for obtaining QuickBooks Online API access. The available APIs/endpoints for retrieving historical accounting and transaction data. Any data-access limitations or historical data restrictions. API rate limits, request limits, or usage

When recording a customer payment for multiple invoices, I have always clicked the invoice header in Record Payments. This has put my invoices in numeric order. Now when I try to organize them that way, clicking the invoice header just changes the direction the invoices are going, it does not put them in numberic order. Our invoices only contain numbers, this has only been a more recent problem, is there a fix to this or a bug that is causing them to not organize by which header I click on?

We build estimates with detailed and long line item descriptions which provides clarity to our customers about what specific work will be done. For example we will add a line on the estimate with a full paragraph describing services, but put the rate as $0.00. When we turn the estimates into invoices and click “print” or e-mail the invoice, all of the descriptions are completely erased. Since this new update, we have had to take extra time adding back these descriptions making it super tedious. Why has this been happening and is there a solution?

How to enable my QBO invoice payment option?

Whilst creating invoices to send out to customers, I always add a note of the Job number in ‘notes’.  As of today, this note is duplicating itself, which just looks wrong.I have logged out and back in again.  I have checked that there is no narrative already in the proforma sales invoices (which there isn’t) (custom styles, invoice and edit).  Does anyone know of a solution for me please?  Thank you.

Win 11 Home 25H2; QB Desktop [Premier Plus Nonprofit Edition 2024 Release R21P (64-bit)]A couple of months ago IDP stopped sending success or failure emails. It had been working fine before that, but I did have a similar problem a couple of years ago that QB support (or I) was somehow able to fix. This time support could find no issues and said it should be working. It does not.I've validated that the email address I'm using is correct and there's no messages in my SPAM folders.Within "About Intuit Data Protect", "Ctrl + F2" does not open the "Intuit Data Protect Diagnostics Tool" as it's should. Also within "About Intuit Data Protect" clicking "Update" produces no dialog or window. Nothing happens.Firewall? I don't see the "IntuitDataProtect" folder within "C:\Progran Files (x86)\Common Files\Intuit", nor within "...\Common Files\Intuit\QuickBooks".I'm thinking my next step is to request QB Support to use their remote desktop ability to visually check my setup and configuration, but I

I have a rule setup to exclude certain transactions from the bank import. They are still showing up under "For Review". When I click on it to review, it says "Rule applied" with the name of the exclude rule. But it doesn't actually exclude them. How do you get the rule to apply automatically?

I recently purchased a sealed and never-before-used QB Pro Desktop 2012 software package with valid license and product codes from eBay. I installed it in my new Lenovo high-end Windows 11 Workstation PC and with much effort, fixups, workarounds, etc. I managed to get it working more or less properly (I’m generally computer savvy with over 40 years of experience working with industrial computers). I read the applicable threads in topic “Registering and older product”. As best I understand from reading the posts in this topic it’s impossible to register this product and obtain a validation code for two reasons: (1) the MS IE browser version used in QB Pro Desktop 2012 has many script errors and won’t connect to the Intuit servers, and a page appears with installation links for popular browsers after clicking ‘Yes’ to continue to run the scripts through the script errors; and (2) even if it connected Intuit would not issue a validation code for this licence due to their onerous software

I'm trying to reconnect Chase bank accounts; two of the three are not showing in the Transactions tab. What can I do to get them back?I've already connected to Chase bank multiple times and disconnected the two missing accounts in the Chart of Accounts. When reconnecting the bank and ensuring the accounts are active in the Chart of Accounts, the 2/3 accounts are still not showing (only the checking account shows, not the two credit card accounts).

"Your email isn’t set up for receipt forwarding"1) On Quickbooks Self Employed emailing receipts manually was working just fine with [email address removed]2) I was trying to get automatic (instead of manual) fowarding of receipts from email. I followed some instructions from the community that lead me to change to a customized email that ends in  @qbodocs.com3) now receipts are not working on my quick books self employed that i use for tax view

I'm getting Bank Error 105 on three accounts from a single bank for days. (For those who haven't experienced this error before, it says "Try again later The bank or account site is down for maintenance so we can't connect to it. Come back later and try again. (105)") The only troubleshooting help I've seen, in response to other posts here about Bank Error 105, hasn't solved the problem. Step 1, "Manually updating the connection" (clicking the "update" button) does nothing. Step 2, I've checked the bank's website and it is, unsurprisingly, working just fine. Step 3, is "wait." I've waited and nothing's changed. The error QBO provides is simply dead-wrong. The bank's site is not down. It's not the reason QBO can't connect. The bank's website is working and, more to the point, is making data available for download to our other accounting systems. So we can't rely on QBO to tell us the real reason that it can't connect to this bank when our other systems can. I suspect
