I accidentally worked on the wrong data file for 2 days. Can I pull a report from of the entries export it to Excel and Import them into the correct data file??
Let's work together to transfer your data to the correct company file, @sdaniluk,
Yes, you can. All you need to do is pull up a transactions report then export them to Excel. Here;s how:
Before you import these transactions to the correct company file, make sure you follow the recommended headers for a file import. The placement of these headers defines a field in the company file to prevent issues during the import, and serves as a command on what information is imported into QuickBooks.
You can find the IIF template for each transactions you import through this link: IIF Overview: import kit, sample files, and headers
To import data, follow the steps below:
For further details, you can check this article: Export or import Intuit Interchange Format (.IIF) files.
I look forward for an update from you on how it goes. I want to make sure this import issue is resolved for you. Have a good one!
hi @sdaniluk ,
If you are not familiar with IIF, you may explore TP Exporter and TP Importer for your case.
