Hello
A question for Quickbooks! When will the Cashflow Planner be available on web Quickbooks Online?
My client's told me about it because he can see it in his IoS app but I can't use it as it doesn't appear to have been rolled out on the web version yet - this post from February says it's coming soon.
Can you update us?
Thanks
Nik.
Hello NikB:waving_hand:, The Cash Flow Dashboard Widget is now in the QuickBooks Labs section of QuickBooks Online (within the cog in the top right) if you toggle it on. We've included a link to a demo on how it works here
HI Emma
Thanks for your reply. I'm certain I replied to your post but it's not here so I'll try again!
The video you linked to has no audio so I'm missing some information.
I have the Cash Flow Widget installed already on my QB dashboard but it only shows cashflow to date and not Projected cash balance as I can see in the video. I also don't have the Cash Flow menu item in the left hand side menu as seen in the video.
How do I get the Cash Flow Projected working?
Many thanks
Nik.
Thank you for getting back to us here on the Community page, @NikB.
As mentioned by EmmaM above, the Cash Flow Dashboard Widget will be available on your Dashboard once it's turned on under the QuickBooks Labs. The Cash Balance can now be seen at the upper-right corner of the Cash Flow section.
Here's how:
I've added these screenshots for your visual reference.
Post again if you have any other questions. I'm always here to help. Have a good day!
HI @Angelyn_T
Thanks for your reply.
As I wrote in my previous reply I already have the Cashflow Widget on my dashboard.
The video that @EmmaM linked to shows the following but I can't see them on my QuickBooks - see my screen shot attached (I'm getting an error message when I try to post this with the screen shot posted in this post):
How can I get Projected Cashflow working?
Thanks
Nik.
Hello NikiB, Thanks for getting back in contact:smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes:. The projection part of the widget relies on a few things, future transactions(for example expenses entered that will happen in the future)recurring transactions being set up, a bank connection to view patterns, events manually added in the cash flow planner(which will have the label planned.
The widget is currently in phase 1, the team will continue adding additional predictions to the planner to cover a bigger percentage of money in and out cash flow, for example, credit card payments. The only other thing which would not allow you to use the cash flow projections is if multi-currency is turned on or GBP is not the home currency. More information can be found in the embedded link. If you have these kinds of transactions in and it is still not predicting anything can we ask you to try clearing the cache and cookies in the browser and if then you have the same issue reply back here and we'll get this escalation for you?
Hello,
You do realize this request is talking about the cash flow menu aka Cash Flow Center which is slowly being rolled out to new clusters of clients over time. I have been in touch with Quickbooks a number of times about this and the responses have been all over the place. I manage multiple instances of QBO and each of my company files see different experiences. I recently received the "CASH FLOW" menu choice on one of my company instances and when clicking on it, it asked to sign up for the waiting list. I continue to ask when I will see this functionality which is greatly needed by two of my clients. The online documentation, forums and customer support have been all over the place on this and I have to educate everyone I talk to in support. With this background can you help on this?
Hello, @rzehner.
This feature is slowly being launched for QuickBooks Online UK users to avoid interruptions that may cause issues in some cluster of accounts. For now, you check your account from time to time to see if check availability the Cash Flow Dashboard.

Thanks for joining us here, PostMo.
The Cash Flow Planner feature is already available in all versions of QuickBooks Online, both in the app and web version. This is currently not offered in the Desktop version.

Hi @JenoP
Thanks for keeping an eye on this thread.
I still can't see the Cashflow menu in my Quickbooks Online on the web. I've cleared the cache and all history as suggested somewhere above. I'm using Firefox 80.0 and Chrome 84.0.4147.135.
Can you help?
Nik.
Hi NikB,
Thanks for getting back to us on this thread - one point to note is the Cash Flow planner is not currently available for accounts which have multi-currency switched on, can I check if you have enabled currencies on your account?
Sorry to jump on the thread but i am also keen to the use the cash flow function. I do have multi currency enabled but we don't use it at all. Is there anyway of switching it off?
Hello AliWithP,
Thanks for Commenting on this thread,
Once multi-currency is turned on there is no way of turning it off again even if you don't use it.
It does give you that information in a warning when you turn it on.

Hi @GeorgiaC and @Ashleigh1
Thanks for the clarification on multi-currency and Cashflow Planner. Will the Cashflow Planner become available for those with multi-currency set up?
Many thanks
Nik.
Hi Nik,
I'm pleased we were able to clear that up for you, unfortunately, we've got no inside info at the moment on if/when this will be available for multicurrency accounts, but we'd recommend submitting feedback for this to our developers by going to the Cogwheel > Feedback within your QuickBooks.
Thanks
Hello,
I'm also experiencing a problem.
Even though I have multi currency switched off, GBP set as the currency and the Cashflow Widget turned on, I still cannot see the Casfhlow option in the menu bar on the left.
There are two of us who use QBO within my company and whilst I cannot see Cashflow in the menu bar, the other user can. Problem is, I'm the one who needs to use it. : )
Hopefully, you can help resolve this for me.
Regards
Harry
Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to get the Shipping address working on your invoices, Harry21.
The Cash Flow Planner feature is already available in all versions of QuickBooks Online, both in the app and web version. There are times when a browser's cache data becomes full or damaged preventing you from accessing the Cashflow in the menu bar. Let's try signing in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private or incognito window. This mode doesn't use the existing cache data and helps us confirm browser-related issues. Here's how:
Then, try going back to the Cash Flow dashboard. If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. The overtime collection of data can create corruption, however, removing this should fix the issue. You can also use other supported, up-to-date browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue. Let me also share these articles about this feature for additional guidance:
I'd like to know how you get on after trying the steps, as I want to ensure this is resolved for you. Feel free to reply to this post and I'll get back to you. Take care always.
Hi
I am also struggling to get the Cash Flow Planner working on our QBO account. I have enabled the widget under Quickbook Labs which gives me the Cash Flow window on the dash board. However, "Cash flow" does not appear on the left hand side menu bar. Following the advice in this thread I have cleared my cache and QBO cookies and checked my account is just on GBP and not Multi-currency. Despite this I still don't have Cash Flow in the menu therefore I cannot use the projection functionality. Please let me know if there is something further that I need to do or whether I am one of the unfortunate QBO accounts that this is not rolled out to? Also if the latter is the case please let me know when this post code lottery of functionality will end and the service is rolled out to all QBO users?
Hello there, Frenni Dan.
I do appreciate your time and effort in adding the Cash Flow menu in the left panel. It can be that you're using QuickBooks Online Accountant which does not support the Cash Flow tab at this time. If you're using the regular QuickBooks Online account, I'd suggest reaching out ot our Phone Support Team so they can further check the root cause of this issue.
Here's how:

Another issue related to multi-currency in QBO. The multi-currency issues with QBO are really frustrating. I have to do so many manual workarounds, like manually importing transactions for PayPal. I just wish QBO would sort themselves out and handle multi-currency properly. Considering how many people need multi-currency these days I'm really surprised. They must be either losing customers, or not getting as many new customers as they could, because of the multi-currency issues.
